Wow, nothing like a pharmaceutical surprise.
I'm going to be going on a long trip and I want to make sure I have sufficient numbers of my various prescriptions so that I don't run out when I'm away.
So I checked my supplies and pharmacy approvals - and there were two prescriptions waiting that I had not ordered and were less than the normal amount.
Turns out either due to a new law or something that the pharmacy is "synchronizing" prescriptions. Great. Nice if they had told me about it.
They said I had consented - I had not. An when I was paying (with the prescriptions in my hands) a consent request popped up on their checkout terminal. I said now, the pharmacist said I could not have the prescriptions. I said "what?". She said - new law. So I consented so that I could take the safe course and keep the pills-in-my hands.
I have not yet found the law that requires this. It's a good idea that is being badly deployed.
