Ah, so called "journalists" who don't really know what they are writing about, or how to write it.

Here's the headline:

"How Trump managed to get his much-needed China trade victory"

First of all, there was no "win" for the US or FFOTUS - we still have massive tariff barriers, higher than before, merely lower than the worst.

Second there is going to be at a minimum a two month gap in items arriving in the US - so shortages are upon us.

Third is that nobody trusts the US, so prices will be raised by foreign sellers to provide insurance against that risk.

Fourth is that permanent shifts by buyers of US goods to alternative supplier countries have already begun, and they will not be reversed.

In addition, notice the blast doors in the photo in the article - why?

And for yucks, I notice the text says "fulsome, bilateral agreements" - I wonder if the writer knows that "fulsome" classically means "awful" (there is a recent usage meaning "excessively complete")?
